Wood panel for wall

Greetings!

I always enjoy making art and put them on walls to showcase my art. This time I have made something after 15 days of my previous project. It was due to some turbulent times my family was going thru. But by God's grace everything is back to normal again.

Pictures of the project are displayed here. The most beautiful part of this project is the heart shape in the center. I have used scrap cardboard boxes to shape it up. You can also see I have used tree twigs around the heart. And some other elements to complete the flow.

COLORS OF HAPPINESS

 Greetings!

March is a month of festivity in India celebrating the biggest festival of colors "HOLI". Playing with colors and spreading love and happiness is the essence of this very festival.

Inspired by the festivity of the month and the mood board from march at MMA, I have created a canvas.

I am on MMA blog for guest designing for the month of March. Here, I would like to show you how simple yet gorgeous a project can be made with simple steps.

Basic steps:

I have used a  pre primed the canvas base using art basic heavy gesso

Add color texture paste ( pre made using acrylic colors and modeling paste from Golden basic. I  have used colors according to the mood board )

Using pallet knife  apply these texture paste across the canvas.

Add script and arrow head stamps here and there to prepare the flow in the project.

Emboss the chipboard and the frame with embossing powder. I have used EP from Hero arts and Moxy.

Now adhere the lace cutout, chipboard and frame using gel medium. And then adhere the focal picture.

To complete the project I am using some flowers I got from Recollections and fussy cut from The paper studio (florals on shiplap) loose paper. Adhere them using hot glue as desired.

Add some silver beads, macro thermo beads and glitters using soft gel medium to cover the ends.

Finally, distress the border of the canvas using water and acrylic paint apply with the help of soft brush and stick the sentiment to complete the flow.

Here are some close up pictures of the canvas:

I hope the project was simple and steps were easy to follow, I wish you all feel motivated to make something unique for yourself.

Reason to smile : Mixed media on acetate

 Greetings!

Here is first time trying of mixed media art on acetate.

I started with a square acetate piece and applying clear gesso  so as to allow  my background to be a see through background.

I stamped an image using black Versa fine ink and slided gold ink stamp pad through out the acetate.

I was impressed with the outcome here, and then added texture paste via stencil and completed the project by adding many details.

The most important thing I want to mention here is the edges of the acetate contains washi tapes which are mind blowing ones here giving it an outstanding look.

Black and white door tag

 Greetings!

Life is beautiful with all the colors but black and white make it more meaningful!

Playing with different bold colors is my definition of art but this time I have made with black and white combo. To make project with this combo this time; made me really think hard.

Here I have made a door hanger with the same theme color.

Taking an acetate as a base, I have cut out a shape of door hanger and complemented it by giving some texture background. Using black stone paste marked sparing borders. A moon cut out and other elements like handmade organza flowers complete the composition.

Some texture on the moon cut out with some sprinkled sparkles makes the moon more eluminated.

Extra enhancement with charm and shinny mini sequences all over the door hanger.

Light in the Darkness : Winter candle

 Greetings!

A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle

Lets burn the darkness, sadness by lighting more hope candles this New year!

With this positivity and enthusiasm I have transformed this candle using mixed media.

I have used a faux candle as a base and mounted it on a square wood piece.

Some mold shapes, some chipboard embossed, die cut Christmas tree and  fussy cut deer makes the project.
